James Chen

James Chen was born in Taipei County, Taipei in 1965 and graduated from National Taiwan University. In 1991, Mr. Chen joined Hewlett-Packards manufacturing group in Taiwan as an assisstant manufacturing industry business unit in Taiwan as a Director during which he accumulated professional expertise in product management and corporate governance.

Following Hewlett-Packard, he founded Picoway Technology Incorporated and has since served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board. Following agreements with Promate Electronic in 2009, Mr. Chen accepted a role as the General Manager of Promates Embedded Products Group to facilitate coorporation between Picoway and Promate to develop embedded system teams.

Mr. Chen’s twenty years of experience in the IT industry has brought challenges both large and small and approaches all of them with the simple mindset of “how do we best meet the needs of our customers?” His unparalleled dedication and entrepreneurial spirit bring focus to Picoway and our goal of providing integrity, innovation, and quality without forgetting corporate culture and a positive work environment.
